Ark of the Covenant
and the
Mercy Seat

Place your curser over the ark to see
what it means for us today.

Yahweh appeared in a cloud above the Mercy Seat.

The Mercy Seat set on top of the Ark of the Covenant and was in the Holiest of Holies. The Mercy Seat was made of pure gold, but the Ark of the Covenant was made of acacia (a k sha) wood overlaid with gold. Both the Mercy Seat and Ark of the Covenant were one and a half cubits wide, two and a half cubits long. The Ark of the Covenant was one and a half cubits in height, but the Bible doesn't give the height of the Mercy Seat. The Mercy Seat had two cherubim on it. One was on each end of the Mercy Seat. The cherubims were facing each other with their wings stretched high over their heads covering the Mercy Seat. Yahweh appeared in a cloud above the Mercy Seat. Inside of the Ark of the Covenant were the Ten Commandments, Aaron's rod that budded, and a bowl of manna.

Once a year the High Priest went behind the vail in the Holiest of Holies to communicate with Yahweh. Yahweh would give the priest instructions of what to do as he stood before the Ark of the Covenant.

We no longer need a high priest to go to Yahweh for us because Yasha made a way for us to communicate with Yahweh for ourselves. The SAVIOR is our high priest and he comforts, guides and teaches us as we yield our hearts and minds to him.

The Mercy Seat and the Ark of the Covenant is a type of the Feast of Tabernacles. The Ten Commandments are the laws that are written on our heart and minds, Aaron's rod is a type of rulership, and the manna is a type of the Word of Yahweh. When we have the Ten Commandments, the rod and the manna inside of us, we become spiritually mature. We will have partaken of the Feast of Tabernacles. The Ten Commandments will be written in our minds and hearts becoming a part of our nature. Sin will no longer be ruling over us, we will be ruling over it. We will forever be eating the manna from the heavenlies because we will be tabernacled by Yahweh.

    Memory Verse

"The SAVIOR answered and said unto him,
If a man love me, he will keep my words:
and my Father will love him,
and we will come unto him,
and make our abode with him."

John 14:23
